Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961 at Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was the first to achieve a perfect 10 in an Olympic occasion. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics teacher who later became the coach for Comaneci, first discovered Comaneci at the age of six. The first time she competed was at the National Junior Championships in which she was 13th place in the year 1969. In the year 1970, she was crowned champion. Her first competition in the international arena was in 1972, a pre-Olympic junior event for countries of the communist bloc she took home three gold medals and in 1973 and 1974 she became an overall junior champion. In 1975, she won 4 gold and 1 silver in her first senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. In 1976, she was the first person in the world who used a double backwards salto to dismount from the parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her journey in the entertainment industry began during her teens when she began performing as a figure skater alongside her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol was a part of the entertainment industry in her teens. The path she took to success began when she joined her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling performance. They featured ice skating shows which included stage performances.
